Driving for 18 hrs. with 4 kids (ages 11 months, 2 1/2 years, 3 1/2 years and 5 years) and three adults in one very packed minivan.

Needless to say, it was memorable...
Despite moments of frustration, annoyance and irritation we did manage to have some fun times...(And life was better --- at least for me --- after we separated Cole, my bully child, from the other two tots, although that meant that poor baby Maddie didn't get much sleep...)
Fun Times: 1. Riding in the front seat - the furtherest spot away from the chaos
2. Sharing earphones with my sis while listening to a cheesy book on CD
3. Listening to American Idol wanna-be Ben rock out to his IPod (totally oblivious to others)
4. Driving a minivan for the first time (its actually not that bad...)
5. Making "glasses" for the kiddos and taking pics for amusement
6. Watching cartoons over and over again (what would we do without the DVD system?)
7. Making frequent pit stops for "emergencies"
8. Indulging in my favorite gas station treats at every stop...diet coke from the fountain, junior mints, licorices, salt and vinegar chips.
9. Taking in beautiful lakes and green lush forests while listening to good tunes.
10. Coming home. Despite the heat, I am thankful to return to the comforts of home (and see Greg again).
