So, its 5:35 a.m. on Saturday and I've already been up for 2 1/2 hrs. I guess my body is just prepping me for those interrupted nights I'll be experiencing in a few weeks.
Waking up in the early a.m. gives me a few hours alone with my thoughts. It's been nice. Today I decided I needed to write in my journal, so I crept down stairs and grabbed my neglected little journal (I'm still working in the same book I started 6 months after I was married) and hand wrote an entry. I know, crazy...I used my own penmanship. I was thinking one day I should convert my journal to an electronic file, but for now I enjoy the scrawl of my handwriting across the page.
I left a blank page before I started my entry. It just didn't seem right to start on the very next page as my last entry because so much has happened since then, so I left a blank page, then started today's entry.
What should I put on the blank page? The thought plagues me. What could I put that would suffice all that has transpired? Why do I care now? There are so many gaps in the written account of my personal history, why is this recent laps more important to go back to and record?
Should I just write... "Lots of stuff has happened...see my blog and Facebook status updates for more." A quick cross link should take care of things in this digital age, right? I mean really, what should I fill that blank page with? Seems an injustice to just skip to today.
So now I'm on the computer thinking, I'll just insert all my blog entries, that should catch it up. I Google "printing your blog" and up comes Blog2Print. Seems easy enough. Anybody ever done it?
