Cole finally got his chance to give a 2 min. talk in primary and stand at the podium and lick the mic (yeah, he did...luckily it wasn't turned on). I guess he's been asking his teacher for weeks about when it would be his turn. Today was the day.
He did a great job (and so did Dad with the writing and Mom with the coaching). He spoke about how being obedient strengthens his faith in Jesus Christ. He told the story of Lehi and the Liahona.
We bought him a compass of his very own to help him remember the story and to keep as a reminder. He's pretty proud. And we are too.
Post edit: I also bought him a handmade pirate tie (cause you still gotta have a little rebel in ya.)

HA! I just loved it when he came up with you when you bore your testimony. It was soooo cute. He was so proud to stand up there with you. It was a little scary when he fell, but it was so CLASSIC! I kinda laughed a little (SORRY!). He's so adorable.
My kids were talking about Cole's talk when they came home. I think they missed the "licked the mic" part, so I am glad I now have a more complete story. Way to go Cole!!!
wish Cole was in our Primary so I could have seen it. the little ones are my favorite when it comes to talks.
Now that is just so cute. Where did you find that compass? Looks very Liahonish to me!
